FACT Aotearoa (Fight Against Conspiracy Theories Aotearoa) has been watching with grave concern as the rise of conspiracy theories gained a foothold in New Zealand. And it’s led to this, a violent protest on Parliament lawns in Wellington.
We recognise that not all protesters at Parliament are violent, but the far right are among them and working hard to influence them. We’re calling on all protesters to denounce those that are there to harm fellow New Zealanders.
