Kia ora koutou,

FACT Aotearoa (Fight Against Conspiracy Theories or FACT) is a grass roots group of doctors, nurses, scientists
and educators fighting against conspiracy theories.

We ask you to dissociate yourselves from all calls to arrest and detain politicians, civil servants, health
professionals, members of the media and general public. We ask you to condemn threats of violence and public
executions. We ask that you take responsibility for the current situation and denounce violent factions. We ask
that you do not legitimise or promote Kelvyn Alp and Counterspin Media or other violent groups by welcoming
their continued presence on site.

Watch this video to see why – it’s a powerful appeal.

Your protest is being co-opted by a small group who want to oust the government and end democracy in Aotearoa
New Zealand.

FACT has been viewing their calls for violence with growing alarm, especially in the light of the upcoming
anniversary of the Christchurch terror attack. On the 29th of January Counterspin Media’s Kelvyn Alp published
Operation Reclaim, a strategic plan to overthrow the elected government of Aotearoa New Zealand (see below).
These calls have been repeated by other protest leaders from the main stage.

Organisers, attendees, and supporters of the Wellington protests are in danger of being positioned to support this
coup attempt. This clear threat can be avoided by a united and straightforward public rejection of that objective.

Join us by making a clear statement to the New Zealand public that these extremists and their agendas are not
welcome at the Wellington protest.
